The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Medellin is committed to promoting the welfare and development of vulnerable individuals, families, and communities. It serves as the arm of the local government in implementing social protection programs and services.
Core services include assistance for indigent families, programs for children, youth, women, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). The office also provides crisis intervention, disaster relief, and livelihood support programs to help uplift the lives of disadvantaged sectors.
Guided by compassion and a deep sense of public service, the MSWDO works hand-in-hand with national agencies, NGOs, and local stakeholders to ensure that social welfare programs reach those who need them the most.
